The @Pulse95Radio’s @MousaSally & @WaelDXB Interviews @ImanBenChaibah for Sail’s 10th Anniversary on Life Beats

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Once Sally Mousa, an old friend of Sail and one of the greatest radio hosts in the UAE, knew that Sail is about to celebrate its 10th Anniversary, she invited on her program The Life Beats on The Pulse 95 Radio with her cohost Wael AlSayegh: our Editor in Chief & founder – Iman Ben Chaibah for an interview. They discussed so many topics in the interview, from the beginning of Sail, to the expansion to books publishing, to the topics tackled on the magazine, and so much more.

P.S. the article referred to in the interview about Islam and mental health is linked here.

Big thanks to Sally on the beautiful Instagram post she wrote for Sail’s 10th Anniversary. We couldn’t have articulated it or brought it all out so beautifully as you did here:

Arriving in Dubai almost 9 years ago, one of the first places I heard about where you could read Emirati stories was Sail e-magazine @sailpublishing Sail brought Emirati writers to the world, with current and contemporary stories written in English for a curious global audience. But most importantly, Sail provided a platform for voices that weren’t being heard elsewhere to be shared, creating a new sense of community, one that validated identity and experience. @imanbenchaibah started all of this in the face of huge criticism, but created something that has grown exponentially in the last 10 years. Sail was also one of the first publications to be talking about mental health. Iman is unapologetic about sharing the realities of anxiety and mental health, sharing openly her struggles as a writer and entrepreneur, and in the process she has now inspired so many. Iman, mabrook on 10 years of Sail. We are so proud to know you and to be celebrating with you, but I know this is only the beginning. Check out the full story in the latest podcast.
